Today I really feel drawn to talk about why lilacs are one of the very best flowering shrubs you can choose to have around your property.

I think they’re pretty!.This underneath part has always bothered me.

I never know what to do with it.This time though, I think I got it..The shutters from on top moved down underneath and I brought in a potted mum (wrapped in more burlap!)

and a pumpkin that I meant to go on the front step. It’s so simple, but really almost perfect to me..

I brought in a few of sorta changing leaves from outside in this little zig-zag-twine-clothespins doodad in.

keeping with the theme of clothespins.Just like that, a fun new advent calendar was born!.

The bags are just plain white bags, stamped with some silver ink and a Christmas stamp, then I wrote the numbers in by hand. It’s all so easy, but when you put it all together….

This would make a great pre-Christmas activity that the whole family could do together, minus the step where the bags are filled with goodies, of course! It would also be so fun as a craft for a friends’ get-together one evening.
